Lesson 3 Allahs Life and Power

There is nothing like Allah Only afrm and negate what Allah has afrmed or negated about himself Allah is not a body or a form Allah is the living who never dies Allah is creator of both time and space

Allah cannot be contained in creation All of creation will cease to be Everything and everyone under the control of Allah Nothing compares to Allah Ayatul Kursi- The Greatest Verse in the Quran (Quran 2:255) The Greatest Verse in the Quran Abu Huraira narrated that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, Everything has its splendor, and the splendor of the Quran is Surah al-Baqara. In it is a verse which is the greatest verse of the Quran: Ayat al-Kursi. [Tirmidhi] Ubayy ibn Ka'b reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "O Abu'l-Mundhir! Do you know which ayat in the Book of Allah is greatest you have?' I said, 'Allah. there is no god but Him, the Living, the Self-Sustaining.'(Quran 2:255) He struck me on the chest and said, 'May knowledge delight you, Abu'lMundhir!'" [Muslim] Everything in creation in need of Allah

Allah is the creator of everyone Not only does Allah create but he sustains at every moment Nothing possible it outside the grasp of Allah Allah says Be and it is There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.( Quran 42;11)

Review denition of La ilaha ila Allah The one in need of no other whom all others are in absolute need of.

Basis of Aqeedah (Islamic Beliefs) is that there is no Ilah ( God) but Allah. Allah is the living ( Al Hayy) that never dies Everything and everyone is powerless is front of Allah. All of creation will die. Who is controlling things? Allah create us and all that we do. Everything in creation under the control of Allah taala. Nothing possible outside the grasp of Allah taala. Not only does Allah create but he sustains in everyway throughout the day.

Recite and reect on the greatest ayah in the Quran ayatul Kursi which is 255 ayah in surah al-baqarah. Ayatul kursi point back to the Oneness of Allah. In this great ayah mentions that Allah is one then he says that he is self existing ( al-Qayyum). Everything in existence exist through the qayyum of Allah taala. All created things need rest where as Allah in no need of sleep rest , getting tired etc. Allah is free of any need anyone
