EUROPEAN ALPS DEPRESSURISATION STRATEGY
PROCEDURES
- The European Alps represent a critical area for all overflying airplanes. They extend from South-Eastern France through Switzerland, Austria and northern Italy. 24h airports are depicted on the chart with dedicated ATIS frequencies. - The Alps are considered to lie within a box bounded by latitudes 43N and 48N and longitudes 005E and 014E. - The box is divided into 5 sections of different colours, each with a different procedure.
