Course Project

The document describes a course project to numerically simulate fully developed flow between parallel plates using finite difference methods. One plate moves with velocity U while the other is stationary, and they are separated by a distance L with different temperatures T0 and T1. The simulation results should be validated against an analytical solution and the effect of the Eckert number on the non-dimensional temperature profile should be plotted.

COURSE PROJECT-1

Consider fully developed flow between two large parallel plates separated by a distance L. The
upper plate is moving with a velocity, U and the lower plate is kept stationary. The lower and
upper plate is maintained at temperatures T0 and T1 respectively. Numerically simulate this
problem using finite difference method and validate the results with analytical solution. Also plot
the effect of Eckert number on the non-dimensional temperature profile.
