Before starting installing NX6 you need to copy the directory Crack to somewhere on your hard drive.
In this directory youll find a file named nx***.lic open this file with Notepad. This is what you should see.
In the first line where it says Server this_host ID=.. Change this_host into your pc name. You can find your pc name by going to Start go to My Computer and press right mouse button
In the next window go to tab Computer Name where it says Full computer name: there youll find your computer name.
Go back to the nx***.lic file type your pc name where this_host is. In my case I replace this_host whit my pc name, which is kazekage. Save the file DO NOT SAVE AS. JUST SAVE. After saving the file you should copy it to My Documents in there you make a directory License copy the file into this directory. IT IS IMPORTANT TO COPY THIS FILE TO YOUR HARD DISK
When you start your NX*** dvd youll see this menu
Press on Install License Server
In this window choose the language you prefer. And press OK. After you have pressed OK just wait until youll see the next window. Press NEXT in this window.
In this window you can choose where to install the license server. If you want to install it in another directory press Change if not just leave it like this and press NEXT.
Now youll be asked to add the license file. This file is the nx6.lic file.
Press the Browse button and go to the directory where you put the nx***.lic file. If you have put it in My Documents\License. Then go to this directory select the nx6.lic file and press OPEN. Once you done this press NEXT and then press INSTALL.
Press FINISH to close the window.
Go back to the NX*** installation menu
Press Install NX. Then again choose your language and press OK
Press Next
Choose Custom and press Next
In this window press with the right mouse button on the red cross. On the menu that pops up press This feature, and all subfeatures, will be installed on local hard drive. Do this step for all the red crosses. When done press Next If you want to change the install directory press on UGII and youll see that the button Change is active. Press on this button and choose where you want to install NX***. Automatically NX*** will be installed in C:\Program Files\...
After NX*** is done with installation. Go back to the Crack directory op the UGS\NX ***\ Inside this directory youll see a few directories
Leave this window open. If you installed NX*** to c:\program files\ go to this directory and open the directory UGS\NX *** in here youll see a lot of directories. Search for the directories with the same name as the directories from the window above. We start with the NXCAE_EXTRAS directory. Open this directory in here youll find a directory named tmg open it. Now you have two directories com and exe. Open the com directory in here youll find ugs_common.dll file. Copy this file and put it in the c:\program files\ UGS\NX ***\NXCAE_EXTRAS\tmg\com Youll get a warning that the file already exist. Press ok or yes to replace the file. When this is done go back one directory to where youll se the com and exe directories. Now open the exe directory. Do the same on the directory with the crack. Now copy the .dll file in this directory to c:\program files\ UGS\NX ***\NXCAE_EXTRAS\tmg\exe. Do the same thing with NXNASTRAN, NXPLOT AND UGII. Be careful not to confuse the crack directory with the install directory. You replace the files in the install directory with the files from the crack directory. When done start UG and it should work just fine
