Density Help

The document contains measurements ranging from 1.8 to 4 in increments of around 0.01. Most numbers are reported to three decimal places with some variation. The measurements are organized in tables with increasing numbers as rows and two columns of data.

1 Find out details of the job; obstacles for selection of required sod prepare technique sheet for each joint and stick to it.
Under stand your variables which will affect your density and sensitivity like source positioning/sourcestrength/source type/exposure time available/film available/strength of the processing solutions
make a trial shot. Process ( use standard parameters for developing, fixing )
measure density using densitometer (not comparision film) record min. max. densities and their position in the radiograph.
iqi placement shall be in an area as decided by the max and min densities of the radiograph. It shall be closer to low density observed.
If max and min densities on the radiograph vary by more than 45% then you have to increase 'sod ' repeat one more trail exposure.
If you can't do this exercise use 2 iqis one at min density area and other at max density area ensure code required min. and max densities are not exceeded.

2 Every organization has there own requirements regarding Identification to be used on the radiograph . This is available in approved procedure.

If not available you have to demand for details to be present on the radiography as radiographic image 'IN WRITING' and stick to it .
Do not use your experience in deciding identification requirements on the radiograph

3 Knowing is something and implementing is some other thing. As on today people give utmost importance to Radiographs. So be careful.
