MBAEM (Event Management)

Event management is a glamorous and exciting profession which demands a lot of hard work and dynamism. As the name suggests, it means conceptualizing, planning, organizing and finally executing an event. The event could be of any type - musical show, concert, exhibition, product launching etc. This industry is just five years old in India, but holds a lot of promise for expansion. It offers enormous scope for ambitious young people.
Eligibility: Three year Graduation. Min Duration: Two years (4 Semesters). Max Duration: 4 years. MBA will be awarded after successful completion of all the four semesters. Fee Details: Admission Fee : RO. 50 Course Fee per semester : RO. 450

Eligibility for Lateral Entry to the Second Semester of M.B.A.: 1. BBA / BBM or equivalent from recognized University OR 2. 3 year graduation with PGDBA from AICTE recognised Institution OR 3. 3 year graduation with 6 month Management Diploma from an Institution and minimum 1 year managerial / supervisory experience in reputed organisation thereafter OR 4. 3 year graduation and min 3 year Managerial / Supervisory experience in reputed organization. But, these Lateral Entry students have to pay the fees and appear for the first semester examinations and clear them. Examinations: Generally held twice in a year - in April and October. Evaluation: 1) Continuous Evaluation 30%, 2) Term end Examination 70% Continuous evaluation is done through assignments. The students performance will be evaluated based on both continuous evaluation and term end examination by Sikkim Manipal University (SMU). Details of grades: A - Excellent (+70%) B - Very Good (+60%) C - Good (+50%) D - Satisfactory (+40%) E - Failure
