The goal of this project is to create an advertisement banner and presentation for one element of your
choice. You will try and sell your element in class by presenting your advertisement and telling the
class about the many characteristics and benefits of your element.
1. Complete a Sell an Element Fact Sheet: (50 points)
You may use multiple sources for your project. You can use books, encyclopedias, and
websites. Many reliable web sources can be found at:

2. You will need to provide a list of your sources which is part of your Fact Sheet.
3. Create an Advertisement Banner for your Element: (30points)
The front of the advertisement must include the elements name, symbol, atomic number,
atomic mass, cost, at least one picture related to your element, and an advertising slogan that
describes one or more of its important uses. The back of the advertisement will show the atomic
structure of the element, by creating a diagram of one atom of the element. Advertisements
must be neat, colorful, and contain all of the information listed above.

4. Present your Element: (20 points)
You will write a short script to read in front of the class describing your element and
why we should buy it. The goal is to help you feel more comfortable presenting in front of a
group.
5. Be a respectful audience for other presenters:
You will also have to be a respectful audience member for your other classmates. You will fill
out a scoring sheet for each of the other presenters while you watch their presentation.
