Dear Ms. Gaviller,

I am inquiring about the technician assistant position at your hospital. I am an AHT
student currently enrolled in an online course through Olds College. I am an experienced
technician assistant, as well as a volunteer for the Alberta Spay Neuter Task Force. My
clinic experience is in emergency/critical care, and I have spent the last year working in
this field. I have developed many desirable skills and qualifications through this
experience such as excellent client communication skills, knowledge of procedures and
protocols, competency in practice management software such as Cornerstone, and
experience with wildlife and exotic animals (especially ferrets).

I am interested in your hospital because of the exceptional level of veterinary service
you provide and the advanced equipment and resources you provide for your patients. I
know that many people employed at your hospital have several years of education in a
specialty field and I am eager to learn more about the specialist services you provide, as
my goal is to specialize in emergency/critical care or internal medicine in the future.

It is important to me to strive for the gold standard of care, and to continue my
education after I have graduated. I am seeking employment at a hospital that holds
these values as well. I believe that Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre
embodies these principles.

I would love to speak directly with you to discuss more of my goals and qualifications as
a potential employee, and to discuss possible employment opportunities. Please let me
know of a convenient time for you to meet with me.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Maria Wakefield
