This course is designed to be a self#learning environment. There are two course manuals written for NX$ and NX! available on %lackboard. These manuals are still useful for NX .!, as much is the same between the programs. &cons and other features may have changed locations, or be under a different menu, but are otherwise the same. 'ou are e(pected to work through the manual)s step#by#step guide on your own during lab time. &t may be necessary to spend time outside of class reviewing this document in preparation for homework assignments. "omework assignments will have some correspondence to the manual contents. *TAs are available for assistance, but will e(pect that you have read the manual and attempted to complete the steps before asking for help. +riday lab times will include brief lectures over the current material. This is not a substitute for reading the manual. &t is advised to observe the lectures and take notes, rather than attempt to follow the lecture on your computers. +riday lecture attendance is required.
