Project Professional Ethics

This document outlines the requirements for a project on professional ethics. It introduces the topic by stating that personal and professional ethics impact both individuals and society. The project aims to promote thoughtful reflection on ethics in one's field. Students are instructed to read two textbook chapters on career planning and ethics. They must then write a 4-page paper with two sections: the first explains the significance of ethics in their field of business, and the second involves interviewing someone about an ethical dilemma they faced at work and analyzing how it was handled.

Project: Professional Ethics

Introduction:
The subject of personal and professional ethics is not only personal but is a
social and moral issue as well in all professions. What you believe to be right and
wrong and how you conduct yourself in certain situations makes an impact from
tiny to enormous on you, your friends, your employer, your coworkers, and
society in general. Consider all the legal problems in the world in recent years
stemming from employees in business, government, education, nonprofit groups,
etc. violating ethical principles.
This project aims to help you think about the powerful role of ethics for you
personally and in your employment world. While ethics is a complex and multi
faceted issue that a four page project can hardly begin to summari!e, the value of
this project lies in the thought and personal introspection that you will do on the
subject. This is a project that should clearly demonstrate your writing
competence, your ability to make a solid, logical argument and your skills at
thoughtfully discussing a complex issue. "f you choose to do this project, please
take your ethics and this project seriously. #one well, this project can be an
excellent portfolio addition and discussion topic in an interview.
