For more than 65 years Floway Pumps has been
dedicated to manufacturing vertical turbine pumps
with industry leading low vibration levels.
The extended operating life of our products is the
direct result of our philosophy that the vibration
level of a pump is the major indicator to a pumps
endurance. Quality through innovative design and
precision manufacturing are reasons why Floways
products are used extensively in the petroleum
industry. With applications ranging from the transfer of light hydrocarbons to high-pressure secondary oil recovery, our vertical pumps meet service
requirements for all phases of the market.
Floway pumps are used in offshore platform,
pipeline, and refinery service with capacities
ranging from 50 to 35,000 USGPM, pressures to
3,000 PSI, and power to 3,000 HP.
Floways main manufacturing facility in Fresno,
California consists of over 200,000 square feet of
production area. We also maintain service facilities
in Central California and Houston, Texas with
additional support provided by an international
network of regional managers, manufacturers
representatives, and authorized service centers.
API - 610 Pump Features
Floway vertical turbine pumps consist of multistaging in the medium specific speed range from
1,300 NS through 5,000 NS.
Floway pumps are able to produce high
pressures with premium efficiencies and low
operating costs.
Low NPSH first stage construction is available
which allows for a reduction in can length for
double casing pumps and minimum submergence for wet pit single casing pumps.
Pressure and flow variations are achieved by
changing the number of stages or impeller type.
The pump bowl assembly is characterized as
low energy per stage resulting in a broad flow
range with excellent hydraulic stability.
Thrust balanced impellers are available for pump
axial thrust reduction and assist in obtaining
the desired thrust bearing rating/life.

Vibration (PMLV) program. This program results in

NOTE: API-610 Plan 52 includes a tandem shaft
seal with reservoir and non-pressurized buffer
fluid between seals. Buffer fluid circulation is
maintained by pumping ring integral with seal.
Reservoir vent to recovery system is normal. An
optional pressure switch is available to alarm
when buffer fluid pressure increases due to
primary seal leakage.
