AME Setups
(DBA Specific Setups)
AME uses roles and responsibilities to define access levels and security at
2 levels:
Data Security:
Function Security
Data Security enables to define access to Transaction Types for a
limited role
Function Security enables to define access to AME functions (modules)
for a business analyst and administrator
Users accessing AME dashboard must have access to one of AME
responsibilities:

Getting access to AME setup and starting the configuration is a 2 step
process:
1) Assign pre-defined roles to user
2) Grant data access to user
Assign pre-defined roles to user
Using System Administrator login (User ID = SYSADMIN) get to user
Management dashboard page. Assign the following roles to the
application user responsible for setting up AME:

Approvals Management Business
Analyst
Business dashboard View access, attributes,
conditions, groups, test, rules access with create,
update, delete permissions.
Access to Setup Report page and Configuration
Variables page with permission to change transaction
specific configuration values.
Can create, update, delete Actions; create, update,
delete Action Type Configuration Values but cannot
create, update, delete Action Types
Approvals Management
Administrator
Access rights of Business Analyst and System
administrator.
Create, update, and delete Action Types.
Modify default Configuration Values
Login in as Sysadmin and select the user (Eg : NEX4NCK). Select Update
(pencil Icon) as given below.
The following Screen shows up. Click the Search LOV
Select Specific Role in the above search Block as given below
This will enable the following results
Create Grants
Grant Transaction Type access to the user using Functional Administrator.
Choose Create Grant and enter the grant details as given below and
select Next button
Select Next Button as given below
Set data security Set to AME Calling Applications and clicl Next Button
as given below.
Now Add the user with the responsibility Approvals Management
Business Analyst.
AME Transaction Types (Functional Setups)
Navigate to Approvals Manager Administrator responsibility and filter
transaction by entering transaction type : OKL LA Contract Booking Approval.
Select Go
Choose next button as given below
Change Attribute AT_LEAST_ONE_RULE_MUST_APPLY to TRUE from FALSE as
given below and select NEXT button.
Choose finish button
Navigate to Approvals Management Business Analyst Responsibility. Choose
Transaction type as OKL LA Contract Booking Approval and choose Approver
Group link as given below.
Choose Create Tab to create a new Group as given below
Set the following and choose Apply button
