Background
Khalis Group is a corporate group based in Pakistan. The groups main line of business is edible
oil (Vanaspati and Cooking Oil) and oil seeds but also operates in Textile Polyester Fibre and
Real Estate. It has two main subsidiaries; Tahir Omer Industries Ltd (TOI) and Khalis Fibre (Pvt)
Ltd. The Edible Oil business of the group comes under TOI and the Polyester Fibre business
comes under Khalis Fibre (Pvt) Ltd.
There are four manufacturing units under Tahir Omer Industries, and one under Khalis Fibre.
They cater to the ever increasing high quality demands of the edible oil industry and textile
industry in Pakistan. They import, process and provide healthy and hygienic products their
consumers and to those customers who range from an average household to large cooking oil
companies. Polyester Fibre staples are also being supplied to many textile units in the region.
Tahir Omer Industries
Tahir Omer Industries is one of the biggest edible oil companies in Pakistan in terms of
production capacity and market capitalization. It has been awarded the Top 100 Tax Payers of
Pakistan 2013 award by FBR and Performance Excellence Award by PVMA. It serves the needs
of both Business to Business market as well as the Business to Consumer market.
History
In the beginning of 1992, Rana Iqbal Hussain, the Chairman and Founder started this business in
Sheikhupura District, and afterwards named his company after his two sons Tahir and Omer. It
got registered as Tahir Omer Industries Limited (TOIL). Now TOIL has grown into a reputed
name in the industry. With an experience of over 20 years and on the basis of well governed
procedures found on the highest ethical and moral practices, TOIL has instituted a good business
footing in the edible oil, ghee and solvent extraction sector in Pakistan. Now with a composition
of the 3 companies the group has been named Khalis Group.

Market
The main market of Khalis Ghee and Cooking Oil is Lahore but its expanding to other cities of
Punjab as well. They are planning to capture the consumer market of Sindh and Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa. As far as By-Products are concerned, the market of Soap is linked with Ghee &
Cooking Oil. The main areas of supply are Lahore, Sheikhupura and Okara district. The market
of CO2 is all over Punjab because it is being consumed in beverages (for carbonated drinks), fire
extinguishers and to some extent in furnaces. The market of Oil Seed Meal is all over Pakistan
and being used by livestock industries. Internationally, China is the world leading oil seed meal
consumer with minimum share in global consumption.
