CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION
1.1 Heat Engines (the reason behind their developement----in two or three lines only,
i.e. the background is to be explained)
1.2 Objective and Various Input Characteristics required as input (i.e. on what
parameters the heat engine would be dependent upon)
1.3 Various types of the heat engines (classification on the basis of the way of
converting the heat into the mechanical work output------------------like thermoelectric
, steam based , gas based )
1.4 Thermoelectic effect (talk about the year of the discovery of the same and the
concept of the converting the heat into the work output)
1.4.1 Seeback and Peltier effect( the basic idea about the principle of both the
effects not any mathematical formula is to be written, also give some idea about the
seeback series)
1.4.2 The significance of converting the heat into the work ( probability of
converting it into the work based on the second law of thermomdynamics )

CHAPTER 2
LITERATURE REVIEW
2.1 Thermoelectric effect ( the complete principle in words is to be explained, write
the year in which it was given and by which scientists )
2.2 Seeback, Peltier and the Thompson effect (write some lines about the theory)
2.2.1 Seeback effect- (the complete theory and statement given by the
seeback, his equation of the parabola (formula) , his seeback series, metal
combination based on that series)
2.2.2 Peltier effect and thompson effect ( write some theortical lines and some
formulas if they have, also give some idea about the peltier elements)
2.3 The Peltier elements or TEC Modules ( explain the entire working concepts of
the peltier elements using the in subtopics also explain the direction of the heat flow
and heat rejected to explain how actually the surface absorbs and rejects the heat
i.e. 2.3.1,2.3.2. Also explain the procedure how actually the heat can be
convereted into the work i.e. voltage difference)
2.4 The characteristics of the Peltier elements( In terms of the voltage difference ,
current, heat input, power output)

Chapter 3
WORKING MECHANISM OF THE CANLE HEAT DRIVEN FAN BASED
ON THE PELTIER EFFECT

3.1 Basic concept (talk about the idea of our project)

3.2 working principle (use some block diagrams to show the direction of the heat
and power flow, also explain the theory i.e. how heat would be deleiveried to the
peltier elements and how would the power be received by the motor shaft )
3.3 Various Calculations ( use fin formulas to get the magnitude of the heat being
delievered to tec module by candle , also gat the formula to calculate the rate of the
heat being supplied by the candle)
3.4 variation of the distinct parameters (use curves to explain how V, I , Power,
rpm, etc. Vary with each other write lines about each and every lines, Also note
the time when the TEC modules come into the stedy state )

CHAPTER 4
RESULT & DISCUSSION PERFORMANCE BASED ON THE OUTCOMES
4.1 The output of the heat engine based on the peltier elements based heat engine
4.2 Comparision with traditional engines (in terms of the efficiencies )
4.3 The basic points that are to be taken into consideration to get the work done
from the TEC modules (Also write the factors upon which the optimum output of the
modules is dependent upon, eg. Convection due to the drag of the air at back side )
4.4 Points to increase the efficiency of the peltier elements(some facts using which
we may increse the voltage gain with the same heat input, write about the
combination of the modules and their significance )
here we can also use the characteristics of the traditional heat engines and their plots
to explain the comparision between the both of type of the engines.

CHAPTER 5
CONCLUSION

5.1 write some lines regarding the comparision of both of type of the engines
5.2 talk about the conclusion of the TEC modules based Heat engines(also give the
point that whether they are suitable to be used at high magnitude requiring
applications or not )
