Main idea:
The main idea of this system EMR (Electronic Medical Record) is to digitize the paper
work which physicians used to keep record of patients. This will reduce physicians
time during patient encounter which will be the key point of sale of this proposed
system. It will make the process of patient record keeping easier, more accurate,
comprehensive and more efficient. Physicians will use EMR to enter information
electronically and it will keep the treatment and medical history of the patient. Now
patients dont need to carry the files of their medical record with them during their
visit to the doctor. Doctors will immediately have the record of all of their patients
because of this system.

Summary and Main Flow:


EMR will register patients after entering basic information and each patient will be
identified with his/her unique CNIC number. After registration user can request for
an appointment and that appointment schedule will be added in the system. Once
patient comes for the checkup, physician will start encounter of that patient by
selecting him from the dashboard and that patients medical and treatment history
will be visible to physician. Physician will update information (which includes
medical history, allergies and immunizations), diagnose him, add medications and
request required lab reports. When physician will be recommending the prescription
to the patient, system will automatically check and notify if any negative reaction
between drugs found. After physician signed off selected patient, bill will be
generated and patient data will be saved. All lab report results will also be visible to
the physician during encounter of the patient.

Modules:
EMR have following five main modules
1- Dashboard will show all active patients of particular physicians with basic
information and physician can search patients based on different type of
filters like name, id, gender etc.
2- Scheduling will keep records of patients appointments, which he/she has
requested.
3- Encounter will allow physician to view and update selected patients medical
Family and social history, Allergies, Immunizations, Vital Signs, Diagnosis,
Medication and Lab Reports.
4- Patient Chart will show patients vital signs on different types of graphs.

5- Billing will be generated once physician signed off the encounter of selected
patient.
