Of the six peer reviews looked at so far, four failed to provide much feedback at the first two levels as requested. Deadlines for the next steps are on the next slide. In business, executive summaries are more common than abstracts, though some put an abstract-like paragraph on the cover page.

BNL reviewed the following: 14 student draBs. These generally seemed like they
were on the right track for the stage of draBing they were in. Three were really brief,
about half or a liFle more of the expected length, which Larson suggested was 1200
words. Three had very long paragraphs; essenJally each secJon was a single
paragraph. Try to use paragraph breaks to organize your wriJng; each paragraph
should present a single point and its supporJng informaJon. One paper used bullet-
point style of organizaJon, which Id like you to avoid here. One did not use the
memo formaPng recommended in the assignment descripJon; easily remedied.

Do not even consider Levels 3 and 4 unJl you have reviewed Levels 1 and 2. At levels
3 and 4, you can do markup directly on the other students paper.

Among the peer reviews: Of the six Ive looked at so far, four of them failed to
provide much review at levels 1 and 2. Try very hard during the next opportunity to
do that. (Everyone gets full credit for this peer review, whether they provided
feedback at those levels or not.)

In business, Ive hardly ever seen anyone use an abstract. Usually just an execuJve
summary. Though someJmes folks eecJvely put a paragraph of abstract-like text on
the cover or Jtle page.
