Summary
This play is about a singers life. When Raymond was a child, his father found him having a great
gift for music. So, he began to learn some musical instruments. He joined lots of contests and
also became a music writer. Besides, he liked singing very much. He wanted to have an album of
his own. Could his dream come true? Lets take a look.
SCENE I
(Raymonds home)
Rs F:
PT:
Rs F:
Thats OK. We havent seen each other for a long time since we graduated from
college. You havent changed much. Is someone playing piano in your house?
Yeah its my son. Hey, Raymond. Can you stop making noise? You have been playing
the piano all day long.
PT:
Rs F:
Thank you. The piano is his birthday gift from his mother when he was 12 years old. He
has played the piano every day since then.
PT:
I think that he has potential playing the piano. Im a music professor at Tunghai
University. If its OK with you, I want to teach him how to play.
Rs F:
Great! Thank you. I think that his mother would agree, too.
SCENE II
(Raymond was in his music class one afternoon.)
R:
Ive already made a mistake at this part many times. I dont think I can play the piano
well.
PT:
Why do you think so? I think you have great talent. You can try to take part in some
music contests. You might win.
R:
PT:
Sure! I believe that youll become a wonderful pianist in the future. But you must first
study with me step by step. Do not give up.
R:
I know. Since my mother passed away, no one has taught me how to play the piano.
Thank you so much!
PT:
As long as you practice hard, Ill be happy. By the way, Im going to move to the States
next month. Im very sorry I cant teach you anymore.
R:
PT:
Yes. Im so sorry. Ive got some serious illness so I have to receive some medical
treatment in America.
R:
PT:
Im very sad to hear that. Hope that you can recover as soon as possible.
Whether I continue teaching you or not, you should hold on to your dream: to become
a famous musician.
R:
(Seven years later, Raymond created his own songs and joined many contests.
But no one liked to listen to his songs. For the past 7 years, he often suffered from unpopularity.
However, Raymond still wrote some new songs and sent them to a record company.)
Raymond: Sir, these are my songs. Please listen to them.
C1:
C2:
C2:
That sounds great. We can make some small changes in his songs, and let the music
company try to produce a new album for him.
C1:
C2:
(To Raymond) We think your songs have potential. You can make some changes in
them. And then, we can help you to publish them. You might become a super star.
R:
Thank you! But I dont want any changes in my songs. So I think we cant work
together this time. Sorry!
C1:
(Raymond left the company and walked on the street. He thought if should change his style in the
music and publish his songs. But he had no ideas. And then, he began to sing songs on the
street.)
R:
( singing )
You really have a good voice. I think you can think about signing a contract with us.
R:
Really? Do you really think I have a good voice? But, why dont you think my style is
strange? Why dont you suggest I change it?
P:
No! No! No! I like your style. I think youre the right person for us. Lets work together
and our company will publish a new album for you! My name is Michelle. Ill call you soon.
R:
Is this Raymond?
Raymond:
Speaking.
Stranger:
This is a singing company. We appreciate your creation very much. We want to buy
your copyright. We hope you can think about it seriously. If you want, you can come to America.
Well pay for the plane ticket.
Raymond:
OK, when?
Stranger:
Next week.
(After that, Raymond published his first album and everyone liked his songs very much. He
became a super star in America.)
SCENE VI
Stranger:
Congratulations! This concert is very successful. Our boss wants to see you.
Raymond:
Stranger:
Stranger:
Where is this?
Michelle:
Raymond:
Michelle:
Oh, its you! So youre my boss. Oh, my! I cant believe this. Its fate.
Its my mothers last wish. She hoped you could be popular in America. She said you
were the best student she had ever taught.
Raymond:

Just in case any one is looking for beats, this site got a special

their facebook store!! Buy rap beats, hip hop, r&b,
pop, and dance beats. If you dont need beats, then sorry ignore my comment.
Amazing issues here. Im very satisfied to look your article. Thanks so much and Im having a look forward to
touch you. Will you kindly drop me a mail?
obviously like your web site however you have to test the spelling on quite a few of your posts. A number of
them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very troublesome to tell the reality nevertheless I will definitely
come again again.
Rap was used to describe talking on records as early as 1971, on Isaac Hayes album Black Moses with track
names such as Ikes Rap, Ikes Rap II, Ikes Rap III, and so on.\par

asked them to introduce themselves.
Teacher:
Student A:
Student B: Iwhat should I say? (He tickled his head) Umm, I I like reading books, listening
to music, and doing something like that. (Then went down the stage quickly and with shyness)
Stella:
I have a dream, that is, to have a colorful life in the next four years. First Ill do my
best in studies, not only for scholarship but also for my self; I do not want to waste every minute
of my life. Second, Id like to learn something Ive never learned before and I invite challenges to
improve myself and.
With no doubt, Stella will be a star in the class.
SCENE II
Stella always has a wonderful mood anytime you see her. She sings happily when she sweeps T

Stella:
Good-morning Frank! You look so tired today! Are you all right?
Frank:
Oh, Good-morning Stella! I am preparing my oral test. Its very difficult! I dont know
how to do it, to pass English tests.
Stella:
Dont worry! Ill teach you how to pass the oral test. But, Ill help you clean the class
first. There is garbage everywhere!
Frank:
Stella:
Ha-ha! Stella, you are so kind! Today is my lucky day! (He pats Stellas shoulder.)
Dont mention it! Its my pleasure. Well, we must hurry if we want to have breakfast
before our class.
In the class, teacher suddenly announces one thing. (Suddenly bends his head down.)
Teacher: Last time we had an exam. Everyones got very low grades! Some of you even got only
9 points! . Stella!
Stella:
Teacher: Stella! You got the highest grades! Congratulations! You are the only student who can
get more than 80 in my class! You really did a good job!
(Everyone in the class give Stella a big hand!)
Stella:
Amy:
Stella:
A man who knocks on the door and yells in a rude way. (Bum)
But why we have to go out in the midnight? Its cold outside and I really want to sleep.
I have a big exam tomorrow.
Mom:
Hurry!! I dont have time to explain. You take your coat and something you might
need
(Bum! Bum!!! )
Head buster: Hey! Open the door!! Mr. Li, youve owed a large sum of money.
Stella and her mom try to flee secretly from the back door, when they leave their house; they run

But what happened? Who is that guy? Why he mentioned Dad and a lot of money?
Your father had borrowed money from the Head buster. He couldnt pay back the
money. So, they come to us.
Stella:
Stella gets big trouble for the first time. She doesnt know how to deal with it and who can help
her. She feels depressed. But her motto is never give up
Stella:
Nothing can hinder me. Ill try my best; I should work harder than before. Ill never
never never give up!
SCENE V
Stella is in the class .Amy is next to her and wants to talk to her.
Amy:

Frank and Amy feel a little angry because of Stellas attitude. They go out of their classroom and
say something about Stella to each other. And Stella continues to do her own thing.
Stella:
Oh, I forgot!
(Stella shouts suddenly. And then she runs out of the classroom to look for Frank and Amy.)
Stella:
Stella:
Amy:
Could you tell me whats been taught in the previous class? Please, I I slept in that
class.
I know something about that lesson but I think you dont have time to listen to me, you
know.
Frank:
Well, I agree with her. Now we are very busy. Dont waste our time, please.
Stella feels so sad. She doesnt know why her friends speak like that. At that time she hears her
teacher calling her name.
Teacher: Stella. (He calls her name angrily.)
Stella:
Teacher: I cant believe that you got these grades in this exam.
Stella:
Amy:
Yes, she doesnt need us, shes smart enough to sleep in the class and still pass the
courses.
Ha, youre right. By the way, the movie you mentioned is really interesting, you know
(they walk away)
Teacher: Stella, you really made me disappointed, I dont know why youve become such a
terrible student! And you didnt do homework yesterday; if you cant hand in yours today, you will
fail. (Point to Stella)
Head buster: Where is the money for this month? Take it out, hurry up, and dont make me
angry. (The gun points to Stellas head)
Stellas mother:
Oh, Stella. Im sorry to have put you in this terrible situation. Will you forgive
me? Im so afraid, if we cant paid off the money(holding Stella and crying)
SCENE VII
Stella:
(Head up but dejection in her face) I dont know why everything becomes so badly
and hard to face. In the past, I always hold a positive view about life. But now, I just want to run
away, run away all of these. How I wish I could have my old days back. Could it be possible? No, I
dont think so!
Shes taking out two white notepapers and slowly writes some last words on them. Then she
stands up and walks to the kitchen, opening the gas, her eyes looking down the floor straightly
and waiting for the death to bring her life.
(News on TV)

This early morning, a college student ended her life by herself. It is said that she
got some money problems. Lets see another news, there is a dog who can sing and dance Cha

Boy A: What?
Female student B: Why? You did it intentionally, didnt you?
Boy A: Wait. I didnt do anything.

Female student A: (angry) Still saying it wasnt you? You pig!
Boy A: I didnt mean it.

Female student C: Now what do you have to say? Apologize to
her. Hurry!
Boy A: Alright! Alright! (to female student A) Im sorry.
(Female student A ignores him and continues to chat with the other
two girls.)
Boy A: Its not my day today.
Boy B: Gentlemen dont fight with women. And shes no nice
woman.
Old woman: Nowadays girls dont have good temper. Time really

Boy B: Older people know more than us.
Old woman: When I was a young student, I got love letters from many men
every day. For the sake of manners, I went out with different men
every day.
(Boys A and B dont know what to say. Suddenly the bus driver hits
the brake. The old woman bumps into Female student Cs hips.)
Female student C: (surprised) You..
(The old woman looks at Female student C and says nothing.)
Old woman: You have nice hips.
Female student B: I cant believe the old woman is capable of
sexual harassment.
Female student C: Maybe nowadays old people are not the same
as those in the past.
Female student A: Maybe after losing her husband, she feels
lonely.
Female student B: Ah! Here we are. Lets get off.
Female student C: Wed better stay away from those strange
