The Homeland Security Digital Library (HSDL)(http://www.hsdl.org) an online collection of homeland security documents
searchable using a unique taxonomy. Used by U.S. homeland security professionals and scholars.
Marketing Manager (2005-2006) Increased overall usage of the HSDL by 2x in 6 months by increasing awareness in existing
markets and facilitating expansion into new markets. Created and managed a multi-media marketing strategy including targeted
email campaign and phone calls, placement of journal articles, printed marketing collateral, e-newsletter, presentation materials,
presentations to user groups, online survey with drawing for prize, and “link-to” partnerships. Negotiated access and marketing
alliances with 80% of all U.S. colleges and universities and hundreds of federal, state and local homeland security government
organizations. Interpreted site analytics and recommended site changes based on collected data. Cultivated user feedback and
reported results to drive product development strategy.
Project Manager (2004 – 2005) Successfully managed the 18-month development and launch of a new version of the
HSDL. Integrated a new search engine and categorization software, remodeled user-interface, and managed multiple
contracts with 3rd party development firms. Managed all operations of the digital library project with a budget of $2.5M
and a diverse staff of 17 including librarians, engineers, homeland security specialists, administration, accounting,
marketing, customer support and technology.

Thinking Tools (a spin-off of Maxis Corp. maker of SimCity) developed educational software incorporating aspects of game

PACIFIC BELL, San Ramon, CA 1993 - Summer
Project Manager – Conducted “Benchmark Study” of the best practices of wholesale distribution. Interviewed and received in-
depth information from executives at multiple companies including Sun Microsystems, Intel, Clorox, Chevron, and Hewlett-
Packard. Resulting recommendations used by PacBell management to define the company’s entry into selling phone services via
resellers.

Channel Manager (Sunnyvale, CA, 90-92) Provided sales support to HP channel sales representatives in European, Eastern and
Midwest sales region for HP’s family of personal computers. Negotiated strategic pricing for large volume purchases ($300,000 to
