Ferrite / pearlite & initial material

Attention: In case the inital material has higher strength as ferrite / pearlit
e, the initial conditions
should be set to a phase that is close to these properties. In this case you ne
ed to define a
phase transformation for HEATING, as for phase 1 to austenite
Typical applications:
Standard structural steel for ship building and civil engineering

About the properties:

Modulus of elasticity: Average values of not and low alloyed steels, unit N/mm2
Poisson coefficient: Average values of not and low alloyed steels
Thermal strains: Average values of not and low alloyed steels
Yield stress: Steel individual
Austenite: Average values for not and low alloyed steel
Unit N/mm2
Slope: Steel individual
Austenite: Average values for not and low alloyed steel
Unit N/mm2
The Label MART is not set. As a consequence, the strain hardening is restored
during the transformation from the phase with the label AUST to the phase with
the label MART, which means for steel Austenite to Martensite. In case the labe
l MART
is set, the strain hardening is not restored.
Without the MART label, the accumulated plastic strains of the alpha phases
(CUMUL_PLAST_STRAIN_ALPHA in the result file) reflect only the hardening that o
ccured
after the transformation, the hardening when the material was still austenite h
as
been restored. If there is no plasticity, the strain hardening of alpha phases
is
consequently not an important parameter.
Note that most plasticity happens usually in the austenite.
The accumulated plastic strains of austenite (the phase with the label AUST)
are accessible under the result label CUMUL_PLAST_STRAIN_GAMMA
