Solid State Drives Course Overview

This document outlines the syllabus for the course PEE702 Solid State Drives. The course is divided into 5 units that cover various types of electric drives including DC drives, stator controlled induction motor drives, rotor controlled induction motor drives, and synchronous motor drives. Key concepts covered include steady state analysis, converter configurations, voltage and current control methods, closed loop control, braking methods, and sub/super synchronous operations. The course aims to provide an understanding of drive characteristics, dynamics, modes of operation, and control of different electric motor drives.
