Semester - IV

This document outlines a semester course on thermodynamics and radiation physics. The course is divided into 5 units that will be taught over 60 hours throughout the semester in 4 hour weekly sessions. The units cover topics including the kinetic theory of gases, the laws of thermodynamics, thermodynamic potentials, low temperature physics, and the quantum theory of radiation. Students will complete a practical paper involving a minimum of 6 experiments related to thermodynamics and radiation physics concepts. Suggested supplemental student activities include seminars, group discussions, assignments, field trips, and independent study projects to enhance learning.
