Use
The one-point adjustment guide rails are used when
quick set-ups are required.
Description
By rotating a single hand-wheel, the operator can
open or close a section of conveyor guide rails to
adjust them for different size products.
A digital counter ensures the exact repeatability of
the setting.
Minor adjustments due to material variances (such
as bottle diameter) can be performed easily and
promptly.
Operation
External
A gear reducer controls the guide movement and
an external rod connected to a rack and pinion
mechanism maintains the synchronization
between the rails.
Internal
A gear reducer controls the guide movement and
a rod below the conveyor body maintains the
synchronization between the rails.
Material specifications
Refer to the material specifications table
(pages ACM 54-55).

Technical specifications
Single side: 3 travel.
Double side: 3 travel on each side maintaining

without prior notification.
Design recommendations
A drive unit is recommended at 20 ft. intervals.
Rack and pinion mechanism should be installed at
24 to 36 intervals.
Contact us for correct component selection.
Ordering information
The 5/8 connecting rod is sold in 10 ft. sections.

Description

End transfer
There are two types of end transfers:
End plate transfer: the transfer surface consists
of a stainless steel sheet. Use the in-line option
when conveyors are in line to each other; or the
900 option when conveyors are perpendicular to
each other.
End roller transfer: the transfer surface consists
of 5/8 diameter rollers. Use the in-line options
when conveyors are in line to each other; or the
900 option when conveyors are perpendicular to
each other.
Side transfer
The end of one conveyor is attached parallel to the
infeed of the second conveyor. The parallel length
is usually 18 and the transfer length is 12.
Operation
The product glides through the transfer plate or is
pushed through it by back pressure, depending on
distance, speed, size and weight of the product.
Design recommendations
Transfer distances should be kept to the minimum
possible.
Accessories
Transfer wheel: used in right transfer. The idler
wheel is mounted on an adjustable base, to ensure
proper package orientation through the transfer.
Orientator wheel: used to rotate the product 90o.
Ordering information
For custom parts provide conveyor model number,
pulley diameter and distance between center of
pulleys, unless other information is indicated on
drawings specifications.
To order a center roller module, desired length and
type of roller transfer must be provided for correct
support base selection.

CA Reject devices
Use
The reject devices separate non-conforming product
from the main product conveyor given an outside
signal.
Description
Air reject
Compressed air jet pushes the product out of the
main product line.
High-efficiency and low-noise vortex nozzles.
Used for lightweight containers.
Moderate to high speeds: up to 250 products per
minute.
Impact reject
A pneumatic cylinder pushes the product out of the
main product line.
Used for large containers.
Low speeds: up to 60 products per minute.
High-speed reject
A rotating triangle pushes the product out of the
main product line.
Used for small and medium containers.
Prevents product spillage upon rejecting.
Requires a parallel reject conveyor.
High speeds: up to 350 products per minute.
Retracting belt reject
A conveyor section retracts, and the product
slides out of the main product line.
Used for medium and large containers or food
products.
Low to moderate speeds: up to 150 products per
minute.
10 CA
Diverter
A pneumatic arm guides the product out of the
main product line.
Used for small and medium containers.
Prevents product spillage upon rejecting.
Low to moderate speeds: up to 200 products per
minute.

CA Counting accessories
Description
The counting device keeps track of the product
output on a packaging line. Upon detecting product
presence, the system is triggered by a retro
reflective sensor. This sensor has vertical adjustment
for different product set-ups and it is protected by an
enclosure to prevent any improper interference.
The sensor is connected to a digital readout, which
will be displaying the current product output count.
The system can be reset by means of a key switch.

Accumulator: accumulates the product prior to a
manual station.
Reject: accumulates the rejected product on an
inspection station.
Description
A turntable consists of a rotary top where the
products accumulate.
The rotary top is attached to a stationary base.
Operation
Feeder
The operator manually loads the product into the
turntable, without any particular orientation.
The feeder orients the product and feeds the line.
In-line buffer
The product enters through the infeed guides and
exits on the outfeed end.
Upon a backup, the empty space of the rotary top
fills with product.
Accumulator
Prior to a manual station, the product enters the top
plate.
The operator picks up the product to perform the
manual operation.

Use
Provide a gap in consecutive conveyors to prevent
spilled product from reaching downstream
equipment.
Rotate round containers.
Mechanical cap inspection system.
Provide access for marking and inspecting the
bottom of containers.
End transfers for unstable products.
Description
The system consists of two parallel belts, with
variable speed. These belts are adjusted horizontally
until they contact the product, squeezing it with a
minimum force.
Operation
By rotating a hand-wheel, the operator can open
or close each side of the gap transporter independently (dual motor) or both sides at the same time
(single motor) to adjust for different size products.
A digital counter ensures the exact repeatability of
the setting.
Minor adjustments due to material variances (such
as bottle diameter) can be performed easily and
promptly.

are included.
For custom parts, refer to requested information

Description
The ergonomic packing station is designed around
the operator, product and process.
Operators movements and vision area are
analyzed using an ergonomic posture program.
An optimum position is defined taking into consideration: repetition, force, posture, reach, contact
stress, vibration, product size and weight, and
environmental variables (light, temperature, noise).
Sample configurations
XLM
XCM
Series process station
The parallel process station is used in process
involving consecutive manual activity for small
products.
The product arrives in front of the operator via the
infeed conveyor.
The operator processes the product and places it
on the outfeed conveyor.
The outfeed conveyor from operator 1 is the
infeed conveyor for operator 2.
The number of stations required is dictated by the
process.

Use
Components presence and/or location verification.
Description
The QAcheck uses the UniPost as the base for the
inspection system.
Different types of inspections include: missing cap,
skew cap, missing foil, missing cotton, high botton,
missing vial stopper, downed bottle, inverted bottle,
gross under-fill, missing label, missing print, and
bar code.
The UniPost can be adjusted for different sizes of
products by using the top hand-wheel. It provides
a numeric counter that can be used to record
different set-up adjustments, thus ensuring the
exact repeatability of the setting.
It is capable of further expansion, both in controls
capabilities as in mechanical functions.
The QAcheck will send a signal to activate a reject
station (sold separately). This output signal will be
controlled by the QAcheck program, which will
keep track of the product to be rejected by means
of an encoder. This feature does not depend on a
timer or conveyor speed, allowing one-point
adjustment in almost all situations.
Operation
By rotating a single hand-wheel, the operator can
adjust for different size products. A digital counter
ensures the exact repeatability of the setting.
Minor adjustments due to material variances (such
as bottle diameter) can be performed easily and
promptly.
Material specifications
Refer to the material specifications table
(pages ACM 54-55).

Use
Reject a bottle that is lying down or upside down
from the conveyor.
Description
Bottle down verification
Only rejects lying down bottles, not upside down
bottles.
Consists of a detour of the straight path on the
conveyor by means of a custom engineered guide.
The guide is placed such that the height of a lying
down bottle is lower than the bottom of the guide.
The detour provides a centripetal force to the
bottle which, if lying down, exits the conveyor
under the guide.
Bottle down and upside down bottle verification
Three photo-eyes (one trigger for bottle presence,
one for lying down bottle sensing, and the other
for upside down bottle sensing) verify the right
orientation of the product.
Material specifications
Refer to the material specifications table
(pages ACM 54-55).
Technical specifications
