SAP ECC6(vm_win7)

1. Starting Virtual Machine:


WIN 7 Desktop.VM workstation Right Click open..Start the Virtual Machine (Left Single
Click)Wait for 30 seconds, WIN 2003 server will open.Go to view take full screen.Now
you will into the WIN 2003 server Desktop.
message(optional):At least one service or driver failed during start up. Give

ok

2. Starting SAP SERVER:


WIN 2003 server Desktop Right click on sap management console OpenYou will get sap
tree: click on + at gcccc620.Right click on ECC start give password:india123..Server color
code: Grey, yellow and Green..After 10 to 15 minutes the server turns into green.. click
exactly on ABAP table: give refresh
You will get the services into wait positions and ECC server is in green (We can say server is
on).Minimize the SAP MMC screen..You will get the win 7 Desktop.
3. Logging in to SAP
Windows 7 Desktop Right click on SAP login ECC6 log on..Client:800.
User: sapuser.Password: india123.You can see the sap screen here.
4. Log off from SAP:
System log off do you want really log off give yes You will get the windows 7 desktop
Close the front end screen
5. Stopping the SAP server:
Maximize the SAP MMC SCREEN..Right click on ECC stop..Really stop sap instances give
yes..ECC server turns in to grey color after 5 minutes.File Exit.

Save console settings give NO(imp ****).You

will get WIN 2003 server

Desktop..Start shut down the WIN 2003 Server..You will get the first screen of the
virtual machineFile------- Exit.You will get win 7 Desktop.
FAULT FINDINGS :
IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO FIND VIRTUAL MACHINE NAME:
1)win 7 desktop.. Right click on vmware workstation. Go to view. Give tick mark for side bar
(F9).. you will get virtual machine name (ECC6) in favorities. Click on ECC 6. You will get
virtual machine name as usual.
2)Procedure to create new virtual machine:
Win 7 Desktop. Right click on vmware work station file
New virtual
machine.custom.nextnext.i will install operating system laternext..select windows
server 2003 enterprise edition.. next. Give virtual machine name abc.. next. Select
processors 2 nextgive ram 1536. Nextselect network type host only networking next
LSI logic next.select :use an existing virtual disk. Go to browse. Select SAP
DRIVE/ecc6vm/vmecc6.vmdk(210 gb file)keep existing format finish.
Result:VIRTUAL MACHINE CREATED IN THE NAME OF abc
