COURSE OUTLINE
Aim & Objective: The purpose of this course outline is to provide you with a
foundation in Business Communication. You will be encouraged to critically
evaluate each perspective using your own judgment in personal communication
patterns in relation to the business world. You will be guided during class
discussions, and lectures through practical, personal and theoretical knowledge,
and experience. All this, in the ultimate analysis, will aid you in reaching
decisions with the aim of accomplishing profit maximization, and in the ultimate
analysis, the competitive advantage for both you and your organization. We will
carefully examine various types of communications in organizations including
processes in preparing effective business messages in organizations. We will
consider strategies for successful speaking and listening including
the
application process leading to interviews and the follow-up process.
