WHY ARE WE SHARING THIS INFORMATION WITH YOU?
For the 21st Century students who have grown up in a digital world, technology is a
part of their lives.
Technology allows students to connect with each other, their communities and to the
world!
The challenge is in teaching children how to properly use and manipulate technology
to help them learn, collaborate with others and show them it is a powerful tool that can
support learning
HOW ARE WE AS EDUCATORS GOING TO integrate technology while
making content accessible to all students?
.By balancing the use of Technology to enhance student
learning experience!
Technology is to be used as a classroom tool to make content accessible and
relatable to students.
Why Should Teachers Integrate
Technology into the Classroom?
The Center for Applied Research in Educational Technology
(CARET)found that, when used in collaborative learning methods and
leadership that is aimed at improving the school through technology
planning, technology impacts achievement in content area learning,
promotes higher-order thinking and problem solving skills, and prepares
students for the workforce.
Evolution of
Education
Beginning in 1870 with the Magic
Lantern, followed by the pencil in
1900, technology has been
incorporated into the classroom.
In 2012, 8 million iPads were sold to
educators alone!
Tips for Effective Technology Integration:

way around
Make sure the technology you
integrate reinforces the idea of
collaboration by providing teachers
