Recorded in an impromptu house studio setting by Colin Stewart (Hive Studios),

High On Jackson Hill is the latest record from Victoria, B.C.s Immaculate Machine.
Twelve songs hammered out on the spot with classic rock riffs & thumping drums resulting in
a more relaxed and spontaneous recording than any of the bands previous releases.

Eloquent, sweetly affecting pop. - The Independent (UK)

cant for the life of me remember her name
(Im sorry!) but she drove all the way from
Regina to see us! She asked more questions
than all the journalists who have ever inter-

because she also bought us an equal num-
ber of shots of tequila. I, of course, chose
this night to be the designated driver so I
did not partake; however, I did begin a
month-long affair with Mr. Red Bull. This
totally backfired on me later when we were
barracked at a hostel and all I wanted to do
was sleep while everyone preached the pseu-

and took "Womens Prison" photos. It was
one of the few times in my life that I actu-

3 cloves garlic, sliced
About 12 mushrooms
4-5 tbsps olive oil
1/8th cup balsamic vinegar
1 lemon, squeezed
1 head green leaf lettuce
1 bunch spinach
3/4 of a 4.5 oz tube of goat cheese (You do the math!)
dash chili flakes (optional)
Preheat oven to 400.
In a bowl tear up lettuce and spinach that you have washed and

Heat oil in a skillet. Sautee garlic and mushrooms together.
When the mushrooms are cooked pretty good, put a lid on it as

When you are ready, remove mushrooms, gently squeezing off
excess liquid, and place them on a baking sheet. Top the mush-

Add the lemon juice and balsamic to the skillet juice and remove

2 grapefruits
4 lemons
300 ml of water
2 cloves of fresh Garlic
2 inches of fresh Ginger
a splash of hot sauce

Peel the fruit, throw it all in a blender, blend, then drink it down.
If you hang out around health food stores, you can add 2 table-

TRADITION

Typical catalonish tradition of hunting for cauliflowers!

1. Wait patiently for your local farmers to fall fast asleep.
2. Gather appropriate equipment for the hunt! You will need the
following to make the night a success: large garbage bags, one
hooptie-vehicle (meaning, a car that smokes when you turn it on
or makes obnoxious noises which you cannot control), prepare for a
7 hour excursion in the Maresme region of Catalunya trying to find
the damn cauliflower fields and finally some crazy ass friends to
help with the mission.
3. Hop into your hooptie ride (in other words, the more ghetto
the car the more the car the more fun youll have), blast some tunes
(like, bruce springsteen or guns n roses) and speed like a bat out of
hell to the fields.
4. Turn the car off, but leave an escape driver for the get away.
