OUTLINE FOR LESSON
1. Anticipatory Set: Have labeled manila folders hanging around the room. Have
various papers and other folders within the folders. Ask the students to help you find a
particular document. Make sure that it is difficult -- may even have the document you are
looking for on the teachers desk instead of in a folder.
2. Introduce students file management by explaining how it would have been easier to
find the missing document if everything would have been organized in a filing cabinet,
etc.
3. Show the YouTube videos to show tips on how to use folders/files in Windows. (Videos
can also be used for a Flipped classroom or make-up work.)
4. Demonstrate how to find the student network folder.
5. Give the students the File Management for Computer Technology - Tutorial to
complete during class (5-10 mins).
