Designed for quarrying and small mining
applications, this versatile drill can be easily
loaded onto a trailer and moved from one location
to another.
Operator Cab
and Controls
A spacious, heated/air conditioned and
pressurized cab provides a comfortable
working environment with excellent
visibility of the work area.
The ergonomic control console puts all
of the drilling, tramming, and auxiliary
operations at the drillers fingertips. An
additional safety feature is the integrated
FOPS (Falling Object Protection System)
structure of the cab.
Powerful Feed and Rotation System
Strong and powerful, the high-strength cable feed
system is designed to absorb drilling shock, improving
rotary head life and minimizing inventory requirements.
The rotary head provides high torque for maximum drilling
performance, smooth rod handling, and a powerful
breakout system.
With a precision controlled, pressure balanced cylinder
feed system, the DM30 has a 30,000 lbf / 133 kN pulldown
and a 10,000 lbf / 44 kN pullback capacity. The DM25 has
25,000 lbf / 111 kN pulldown and pullback capacity.
Power Pack
A high ambient cooler with up to 125 F / 52 C ambient
temperature capability and an adjustable hydraulic fan is
standard on the DM30 and DM25 for longer component life
and lower maintenance costs. Your choice of Cummins or
Caterpillar deck engines provides both sufficient and
superior power for better drilling performance.
The power pack components are mounted in
a straight line on a floating sub-frame. The
Ingersoll-Rand compressor is directly driven
from one end of the diesel deck engine, while the
hydraulic pumps are driven from the other end.
Rugged Track Drive and Undercarriage
For mobility in rough conditions, the DM25-SP and
DM30 utilize a fabricated, steel excavator style
undercarriage mounted on a 5 oscillating yoke.
Powered by independent hydraulic motors, the
track system has superior gradeability and a tight
turning radius. As an option the undercarriage can
include full-length rock guards and/or a propel
safety brake which is designed for the rigors of
mining and quarry applications.
The DM25-SP for Rotary and Fast
Downhole Drilling in the Hardest Rock
The DM25-SP can drill up to 50 ft. / 15.2 m in a single
pass. This eliminates drill pipe changing and saves up
to 20% drilling time on every hole.
Powered by a hydraulic motor, the heavy-duty gear
drive rotary table gives the operator precise control and
variable speed with ample power for rotary or DTH
drilling. Atlas Copco kelly and drive bushings provide
longer, trouble-free life and top performance.
The hydraulic feed system delivers smooth, continuous
bit loading and rapid feed speeds to reduce drilling time
and cost.
