- Extension number 100 (10 in the case of 2 digit numbering) cannot be given as Flexible Number to any
Extension because the Programming Code is 100.
- The Telephone Lines are referred as Junction Lines in this Manual.
- While using Pulse dialing Telephone sets, dial * before any operation.

. Installation Check Points .

Cabling
(a) All cables of the EPABX should be at least 6 away from the electrical cables.
(b) They should be away by at least 12 from the area of high frequencies like tube light chokes, etc. If it is not possible to
avoid, then use shielded cables and earth the shield.
Earthing
Earth connected to the EPABX should not have more than 5 volts on it.

Location
The location at which the System is placed should be ventilated. It should be ensured that no liquid spills over the System
especially near the ventilation slots.
Note : The Companys warranty voids if the above points are not followed.

. Auto Call Back .

On getting engaged tone, after dialing an extension number, press Flash and dial 1 on busy tone & keep the handset.
As soon as the called extension gets free, both the extensions (called and calling extensions) will ring simultaneously.

. Call Forwarding .

All incoming calls on an extension can be forwarded to another extension.


Programming: Dial *3 followed by extension number.
To cancel call forwarding, dial *2.

. Call Monitoring .

To listen into a busy extension:


Dial Extension Number
If you get engaged tone, press Flash & dial 3.

. Call Pick Up All .

To pick a call (internal or Junction call) ringing on an extension, dial 8.

. Call Pick Up Particular extension .

To pick a call (internal or Junction call) ringing on a particular extension, dial *5 followed by extension number.

. Day / Night Mode Operation .

To operate the PBX in Day / Night mode, following is the programming:


Programming: PC + PW + 66 + X
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Programming Pass Word (11 in default)
X= 0 to operate the PBX in Day Mode.
= 1 to operate the PBX in Night Mode.
In default the PBX operates in Day Mode.
. Dial Tone Type .

The PBX dial tone can be changed with the following program:
PC + PW + 62 + X
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Programming Pass Word (11 in default)
X = 2 for TRR TRR type Dial Tone
= 3 for Continuous type dial tone

. Emergency Reporting .

When any extension dials *0, it will ring on Extension 15 and 16. When Ext 15 lifts the handset, Ext 16 keeps ringing.
When Ext 16 also lifts, the 3 Extensions get in Conference.

. Flash Timing Change .

Flash time that the PBX accepts from a Telephone instrument from an extension, can be changed to match the
instruments used.
Programming: PC + PW + 61 + 4 / 5/ 6/ 7 /8 /9
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Programming Pass Word (11 in default)
4 = 400 ms
5 = 500 ms
6 = 600 ms
7 = 400 ms
8 = 500 ms
9 = 600 ms
Default = 600 ms
Example : To Set Flash Time to 800 ms
Dial 1011618
On successful completion, you will get Dial Tone

. Hot Line .

Any extension can be programmed to ring another extension on lifting the handset.
Programming: PC + PW + 62 + A
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Programming Pass Word (11 in default)
A = 4 to Allow this feature in the PBX
= 5 to Disallow this feature in the PBX
To Make Extension 1 to call Extension 2 on lifting handset
PC + PW + 56 + Extension 1 + Extension 2
To Cancel Hot Line feature to an Extension
PC + PW + 56 + Extension 1 + Extension 1

. Junction Access .

To access a free Junction line, dial 0.


Precautions
- While transferring a dialed out telephone call, always dial the extension number after getting a beep tone.
- While dialing out, never dial a telephone number after the beep tone.
- Dialing a telephone number without dialing a 0 or dialing from an extension, which does not have dialing facility
can create some operational problems.

. Junction Camp On .

A Junction call can be transferred to an engaged extension 7 it is called Junction Camp On.
It works only from Tone dialing instruments.
While on Junction line, flash and dial extension number and keep the handset down. The Junction call will get camped on
to the engaged extension. When the engaged ext gets free, it will get connected to the Junction call. If engaged ext doesnt
get free within 30 secs, the Junction call will ring back on the transferring extension.
. Junction Dialing Allow / Disallow .

Selected extensions can be given Local / STD dialing.


To allow / disallow Local dialing facility
Programming: PC + PW + LL + Extension Number
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Programming Pass Word (11 in default)
LL = 76 to Allow
= 46 to Disallow
Example : To Allow Local dialing on Extension 15, 18, 21

. Junction Hold / Release .

For holding & releasing a Junction line from an extension, press Flash.

. Junction In Tone / Pulse Mode .

Junction lines can set in Pulse dialing or Tone dialing mode.


Programming: PC + PW + TT + Junction Number
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Programming Pass Word (11 in default)
TT = 71 for Tone dialing
= 41 for Pulse dialing
Default = Tone mode
Example : To Set Junction 11 & 12 to Pulse
Dial 10114111
Hear Dial Tone
Dial 12

. Junction Ring in Round Robin .

In Day Mode operation of the PBX, incoming Junction calls land on Extension 115/15 and if not picked up within 6 rings
(appox), it shifts to Extension number 116/16. Then to 117/17 and 118/18. Then back to 115/15.

. Junction Ring on one Extension .

The PBX operates in Day Mode or in Night Mode.


In Night Mode, Junction lines ring directly on Extensions. One Junction can ring on one extension only.
The Day/Night changeover has to be done manually as explained under the heading Day / Night Mode Operation
10 + PW + 72 + EX1 + EX2 + EX3 + EX4
EX1 is the Extension number on which Junction Number 11/111 will ring.
EX2 is the Extension number on which Junction Number 12/112 will ring.
EX3 is the Extension number on which Junction Number 13/113 will ring.
EX4 is the Extension number on which Junction Number 14/114 will ring.
Note: In case of 1 Junction Line PBX, only EX1 will get programmed.
: In case of 4 Junction lines PBX, all 4 Extension numbers have to be entered. Same Extension number can be
repeated if required. For example, if Junction 11 is to ring at Extension 15, 12 on 18, 13 on 18 and 14 on 16 then
programming will be: 10 + PW + 72 + 15 + 18 + 18 + 16

. Night Service .

When System is switched OFF, the Junction Lines get directly connected to the corresponding first Extensions of the PBX.

. Operator Extension .

In default Extension number 115 / 15 is set as Operator Extension accessible by dialing 9.


To change the extension number of the Operator, program as below:
10 + PW + 80 + XXX or XX
Where XXX = 3 Digit Extension number in case of 3 digit system
XX = 2 Digit Extension number in case of 2 digit system
To block dialing by 9, program as below:
10 + PW + 68 + 0/1 (0 for Enable and 1 for Disable)
Note: This feature is supplied if ordered specifically while placing order to the company.

. Pass Word Change .

Programming Password of the system can be changed with the following programming:
PC + PW + 88 + New Password
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Old Pass Word (11 in default)
New System Password = 01 to 80
Example : To Change PW to 25
Dial 10118825

. Programming Extension / Sub-Programming Extension .

First extension of the PBX is allowed for programming in default.


In addition to the first extension of the PBX another extension can be allowed to do the programming. Such an extension is
then called Sub-Programming Extension. The extension ring from Sub-Programming extension is a special one as of the
Operator.
Programming for setting a Sub-Programming Extension:
PC + PW + 50 + Extension Number
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Programming Pass Word (11 in default)
Example : To Allow Extension 18 as Sub-Programming Extension
Dial 10115018

. Priority .

For cases where many extensions login Auto Call Back to an Engaged Extension, this feature is used for getting Auto
call back on priority.
After logging Auto Call Back, log this Priority feature. If there are many extensions who have logged Auto Call Back, then
you will get the first Auto Call Back.
Operation: Press Flash + 2 on busy tone

. Redial .

For redialing the Telephone number on Junction line, dial *1.


The PBX will redial the number in pulse on Junction line.

. Resetting the System to Default Programming .

The PBX can be reset to default programming through the following program:
PC + PW + 12
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Programming Pass Word (11 in default)
. Special Ring .

Ring from Operator and Sub-Programming Extensions can be set as a special one in order to distinguish it from other.
In default, the first extension of the PBX is defined as operator. Any call from operator to another extension has a special
long ring.
The same is true for a Sub-Programming Extension, if defined
Programming: PC + PW + 65 + X
Where, PC= 10 in case of 2 digit extension number PBX
= 100 in case of 3 digit extension number PBX
PW= Programming Pass Word (11 in default)
X = 5 to Allow Special ring for operator and Sub-Programming
Extension
= 4 to Disallow Special ring for Sub-Programming Extension
= 3 to Disallow Special ring for Operator

. Terms of Warranty .

Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. warrants that this product is manufactured under stringent quality standards, making it free from defects in material and
workmanship, as per the following terms and conditions:
1. The limited warranty for the system is valid for a period of twelve months from the date of purchase or fifteen months from the date of manufacture
which ever is earlier.
2. The limited warranty extends only to the original consumer/ purchaser of the product and is not assignable or transferable to any subsequent
purchaser/end user.
3. During the limited warranty period, Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. or its authorised service network will repair or replace, at Copper Connections Pvt.
Ltd. option, any defective product or parts thereof with a new or factory rebuild replacement items and return the product to the consumer in working
conditions. No charge will be made to the consumer for either parts or labour in repairing or replacing the product. All replaced parts shall become
the property of Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd..
4. Repaired product will be warranted for a balance of original warranty period.
5. Upon request from Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. or its authorised service center, the consumer must provide purchase receipt or other information
to prove the date and place of purchase.
6. The consumer shall have no benefit or coverage if any of the following conditions are applicable:
a) The product has been subjected to abnormal use, abnormal condition, improper storage, exposure to moisture or dampness, exposure to
excessive temperature or fire etc., unauthorised modifications, unauthorised connections, unauthorised repairs including but not limited to use
of unauthorised spare parts in repairs, misuse, neglect, abuse, accident, alteration, improper installation.
b) Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. was not notified by consumer of the alleged defect or malfunction of the product during the limited warranty
period.
c) The product was used with or connected to equipment not fit for use with Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. system or used in other than its intended
use.
d) THE SYSTEM IS NOT CONNECTED TO A PROPER EARTH OR INCASE HIGH VOLTAGES APPEAR ON EARTH.
e) THE DAMAGE IS CAUSED BY LIGHTENING ON EXTENSIONS/ JUNCTION LINES/ OR SPIKES/ SURGES/ HIGH VOLTAGES FROM AC
MAIN SUPPLY.
7. The consumer may contact the authorised dealer to call the service personnel for carrying out repairs or maintenance and the same would be
attended within a reasonable response time assigned to the dealer.
8. The consumer will be billed for parts or labour charges not covered by this limited warranty.
9. If the product is brought to Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. for repairs, after the warranty period Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. normal service policy
shall apply and customer shall be charged accordingly.
10. In no event shall Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. or their authorised dealer be liable for special or consequential damages or any delay in the
performance of this warranty due to causes beyond their control. Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. shall not be liable for incidental or consequential
damage or a loss of anticipated benefits or profits, loss or impairment of privacy of conversation, work stoppage or loss or impairment of data arising
out of the use or inability to use the product.
11. Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd. neither assumes nor authorises any authorised service center or any person or entity to assume for it any other
obligation or liability beyond what is expressly provided by this limited warranty. All warranty information, product features and specifications are
subject to change without prior notice.
12. Any dispute arising out of this warranty shall be subjected to jurisdiction of the arbitrator within the city of Delhi.
13. The decision of Copper Connections Pvt. Ltd., on defects, damages etc shall be final and binding on the parties and no dispute regarding this, could
be agitated before any civil court.
