When only a single author is listed for a text, typical
bibliography entries will appear as follows:

Republican Values in America 1776-1900. New York:
Penguin, 1976.

"Come Away, Come, Sweet Love!" The Norton
Anthology of English Literature. Ed. M. H.
Abrams. 4th ed. Vol. 1. New York: W.W. Norton,
1979. 2.
If no author can be identified, then a text is
alphabetized by the first word of its title,
excluding definite or indefinite articles such as
"A," "An," or "The" (note that "The Shepherd's
Consort" precedes The Norton Anthology in a
bibliographic entry). Do not use either
"Anonymous" or "Anon." to designate that no
author is identified.
Cita de un libro
Geertz, Clifford. The Interpretation of Cultures. New
York: Basic Books, 1973.
Each part of the entry is followed by a period. When
other information is required, you will generally arrange
it in the following order with a period after each
additional item:
Author's last name, first name. "Title of a part of the
book." Title of the book. Name of the editor, translator,
or compiler. Number of the edition used. Number(s) of
the volume(s) used. Name of the series. Place of
publication: name of publisher, date of publication. Page
numbers. Other bibliographic information and
annotation.
edicin
Yeats, W. B. The Collected Poems of W. B. Yeats. Ed.
Richard J. Finneran. New York: Macmillan, 1989.
An edition may also refer to later or revised editions of a
book. In such a case, refer to the book by edition
number (3rd ed.), by name (Rev. ed., for "Revised
edition" or Abr. ed., for "Abridged edition"), or by year
(2003 ed.), according to how the title page refers to the
book.
Newbold, Paul. Statistics for Business and Economics.
3rd ed. New Jersey: Prentice Hall, 1990.
If no edition number appears on the title page, it is
probably a first edition, and you do not need to indicate
the edition number in your citations.
volmenes

Rational Expectations and Econometric Practice. 2 vols.
Minneapolis: U of Minnesota P, 1981.
When using only one volume in a multivolume work,
insert the number of the volume you are using between
the title and the publication information for that volume,
and only give the publication information for that
particular volume.

De Enciclopedia
To cite an article in an encyclopedia, use the same format as if it
were an item in an anthology (see above), the only difference being
that the editor should not be cited. If the passage designates a
particular author (sometimes this is done with abbreviations of the
author's name - find the entire name of that author elsewhere in the
work), give the name of the author first. If there is no explicit
author, then give the title first. If the encyclopedia arranges its
articles alphabetically, volume and page numbers may be omitted. If
the encyclopedia is very familiar and frequently appears in new
additions, only the edition and the year of publication.

If the journal is part of a series, the series number/name goes
before the volume number. If the journal uses only issue numbers,
the issue number goes in place of the volume number.

En citas
Basic Format
The basic format for MLA in-text citation is as follows:
(Authors Last Name_Page Number)
e.g.,. One author claims that "no one is concerned with this issue" (Jones 45).
If the authors last name appears in the citation, then only a page number is
required:
e.g., "Howard Jones argues that no one is concerned with this issue" (45).
Multiple Authors
Multiple authors are cited in a similar way, although both names are included, and
joined by the word "and":
e.g., (Cortez and Jones 56)
For more than three authors, use the first authors last name, followed by the
abbreviation "et al.":
e.g., (Cortez et al. 378)
Different Authors with the Same Last Name
When citing different authors with the same last name, include enough information
so as to be able to differentiate them:
e.g., (H. Jones 48); (R. Jones 36)
More Than One Work by the Same Author
