e-terracontrol SCADA Server
The SCADA Server:
Central application of e-terracontrol.
Passive and always online when the application is
running.
Even online when making database changes.
Starts appropriate timers and initiates calculation routines.
Replicates data and saves alarm logs and historical data
to disk.
Waits for client connections (via OCX or OLE controls) and
acts on client data requests.

e-terracontrol SCADA Server Database
Object-oriented
Single database contains all data:
Persistent analog, status, accumulator measurements with
data quality
Alarm and event processing parameters.
Multiple data sources with line switching and
configurable priorities.
Historical information for trending.

CONTROL
Equipment Groups are more generic forms of stations.
Displays currently still rely on the old Station-based model.
e-terracontrol | SCADA Database | P7
Substation (Stations) Data Model
Compatibility with legacy measurement model.
Displays currently still rely on the old Station-based model.
Substation objects will only appear if their corresponding
equipment group type is defined to be exposed as a Station.

Equipment Groups Data Model
Equipment group(s): station, voltage level, bay, etc.
Equipment: breaker, switch, transformer, feeder, etc.
Measurement: analog, status, accumulators

*Generalized representation
of Dataset hierarchy
A datasource is any source of measurement data
A dataset object represents any physical object in the
communication path (comm line, RTU, scan address, etc.)
Dataitems are the physical connections (I/O) in the device

Dataset tree represents the origins or ways data is retrieved
Structure depends on device application (e.g. CFEreader)
