OBJECTIVE

1. To understand the Operation for Ladder Program Simulation using SIMATIC S7


Software.
2. To understand the Hardware Configuration using SIMATIC S7 Software.
3. To create understanding of combinational logic & sequential logic circuits.

INTRODUCTION TO STEP 7 SIMATIC MANAGER


Task # 1

To create understanding of combinational logic circuits on ladder logic.


To control LED with switch
1. Press ON
2. Press OFF
3. Latch Set / Reset

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
PC, SIMATIC S-7 Editing software, PLC trainer, Programming cables.
PROCEDURE
Repeat the same procedure as given and implement the Combinational logics.

TASK # 2
To implement logical operations: AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XOR, XNOR & NOT using Ladder
logic in SIMATIC Manager STEP7.

PROCEDURE
Write the truth table of each logical operation and implement their respective ladder logic in
SIMATIC Manager STEP7.
