Product Information Model 9603-I

The 9603-I is a satellite transceiver designed to operate with the Iridium satellite network in SBD-only mode. It is intended to be used as an add-on daughterboard for integration into other host systems. The transceiver communicates with its host system through a 3.3V digital serial interface and can access either the commercial Iridium gateway or US DoD gateway when authorized. It has dimensions of 1.24" x 1.17" x 0.32" and operates in the 1616-1626.5 MHz frequency band using time division duplexing with average downlink and uplink link margins of 13dB and 7dB respectively.
