Golden Company produces an inexpensive product branded as “My Bi”. Selected data for the
company’s last year’s operations follow:

Beginning inventory 4,000
Normal capacity 50,000
Unit sales price P250
Variable costs per unit:

Manufacturing overhead 25
Selling and administrative 12
Fixed costs:
Manufacturing overhead per unit P14

Required:

For each of the independent cases:

a. Determine the profit under the absorption and variable costing methods:
