ANOVA Example Crash Test Dummies

An ANOVA test was conducted to compare the mean head pressure from crash test data of three car types: compact, midsize, and fullsize. The test results showed an F value greater than the critical F value, so the null hypothesis that the means are equal was rejected. This means at least one of the car types exhibited a significantly different mean head pressure than the others. A second dataset was also analyzed, which showed an F value less than the critical F value. Therefore, the null hypothesis that the means are equal could not be rejected for this data, indicating the mean head pressures were not significantly different between car types.

Null Hypothesis, Ho: Mean pressure applied to the drivers' head during crash test is equal
Mean pressure of compact = Mean pressure of midsize = Mean pressure of fullsize
Alternative Hypothesis, H1: At least one of the mean is different
Rule:
If F is less than Fcrit : Accept null hypothesis
If F is greater than Fcrit: Reject null hypothesis, therefore accept the alternative hypothesis

Decision
Since F is greater than F crit, we reject the null hypothesis
Interpretation:
At least one of the car types exhibits a different mean pressure.
In other words, the performance of at least one type of car on mean pressure applied on the driver's head during crash test
differ from the others.
What if this is the data for the same example?
