Step II: Writing
Now that you have gathered your plot elements, begin writing your short story, deciding first 
how you will set the scene. For homework develop the where for your story. Be as descriptive as 
possible, being sure to include details about where (city, specific rooms or streets, in a village, in 
the woods, specific state or country etc.) and when (day or night, season, year, etc). Remember to
use imagery to paint a clear picture for your reader! Make your reader see your scene!
