ULTIMATE TRANS GUIDELINES

1. SCHEDULING
a. A trans group must submit a hard copy and an uploaded copy of the lecture assigned to them 2 days after the
said lecture (e.g. Histology and FCM trans should be given and uploaded by Thursday)
a1. For those assigned to Thursday lectures (Biochemistry), the hard copy can be distributed by Monday but
the soft copy should be uploaded by Sunday
a2. For those assignet to Wednesday lectures, hard copy may be distributed by Monday but the soft copy
should be uploaded by Saturday
b. In cases of emergency (power outage, typhoons) and classes were not held, it will be the assigned trans group’s
responsibility to borrow or ask trans and powerpoint presentations of the missed lectures from other sections.
c. If a group fails to produce copies and upload on their given deadline, they will incur a penalty of 50 pesos per
day until they have provided both hard and soft copies of the trans. Moreover, they will carry the responsibility
of paying for the hard copies of the whole class and there will be no reimbursement of printing and photocopy
expenses.

2. UPLOADING
a. To avoid problems due to different file formats, it is suggested that all files be uploaded with “.doc” format.
b. If the file uploaded will be with “.docx” format, a “.doc” format of the same file should also be uploaded.
c. Uploading of the “.pdf” format of the file is optional but it is highly recommended to upload using this format to
avoid minor changes on the file.
d. Materials should all be uploaded on the multiply account: http://plmcm2014d.multiply.com
e. Upon posting of the trans, send a message to the Yahoo group and Facebook page notifying everyone that your
group has posted the said lecture.
The message should contain the following:
 SUBJECT HEADER (Subject, Lecture Number, Lecture Topic),
 BODY of the message
o Date of lecture
o Due date of Trans
o Professor/Lecturer
o LINK: The file [insert name of lecture here] has been uploaded to the section’s Multiply site. You can
download it from here [insert link here]
o NOTES/REMARKS from trans group
o TRANS GROUP MEMBERS
f. One must be signed in to Multiply to access the file.
g. The soft copy must be uploaded on or before 9:00pm on the day of the deadline.
h. Hard copies must be given before dismissal. (KAILANGAN BAGO LUMAYAS PAUWI ANG MGA MAG-AARAL AY

the group supplements information and discussions from the book into the trans.
h. Please supply necessary visual aids, tables, pictures, and diagrams as needed in the lectures.
i. Space fillers are highly advisable. Examples of these are crosswords, comic strips, jokes, song lyrics, chismis and

detoxifying as possible. Let us save the trees and save ourselves from the toxicity of med life. Bow.)

4. There are two ways in making/doing a new post. Just click on the “Post” button at the upper right hand corner
OR click the icons at the “Post Content” side bar at the left hand side of the screen.

5. To post/upload a lecture, just click on the “Blog” icon. The “Blog” icon may be seen through the “Post” button or
“Post Conent” sidebar seen here:
6. You will be directed towards the “Compose Blog Entry” page where you will do the posting. The “Compose Blog
Entry” page looks like this:

7. At the “Title” field, the format will be like this: Subject, Lecture Number: Lecture Title
Example: Human Physiology, Lecture 1: Introduction to Human Physiology
8. At the main body of the blog entry, indicate the following information:
 Date Lecture was given

10. After clicking the button, you will be asked to indicate the file to attach. Then, your file will be uploaded. *You
can upload up to four attachments per blog entry* You will know that your upload is finished when you see
something like this at the bottom of the body of the blog entry:
11. Place a tag of the subject on the “Tags” field. Tags are keywords about the post on the said blog entry. Let’s say
your post is a physiology lecture, you place the word “physiology” on the said field. It is imperative that
everyone does this. This is important because it would make it easier to collate all the posts regarding a certain
subject/topic. Tags are like this:

12. Make sure to change the setting at the “Access” field from “Everyone” to “Contacts”. This is very important so
as to limit the people who can access our files. This is especially true for the lectures and other stuff. You can
see the “Access” field here:
13. Just press “Save & Publish” to post your entry. You may also save it as a draft if you are still unfinished by clicking
on the “Save as Draft” button.

14. After clicking, “Save & Publish”, you’re done! Congratulations! Haha! ;-)

b. Miscellaneous Stuff:

 For posting photos, just follow the same steps above. Main difference is you click on the “Photos” icon.
 It is also advisable that each and everyone have a multiply account.
 However, you can still access the file through the plmcm2014d username.
 The complete URL for the Class’s multiply account is: http://plmcm2014d.multiply.com
 Whoever wishes to make our Class’s multiply account more presentable by changing its themes and other stuff
are welcome to do so.
 Everyone is encouraged to upload the all the photos from class (be it from histo, gross ana or vain pictures) at
this multiply account. This will help facilitate an easier way of collating stuff.
