1. Statement of Purpose
Please tell us in one page about yourself, how you view yourself and how others view
you, about your creative influences, why you wish to study film and how you think you
will use your experience at Prague Film School towards your future goals.
2. Essay
Please respond in two pages or less to one of the following prompts:
a) What work of international literature would you like to interpret for the big
screen and why? Of all the celebrated filmmakers, whose style would you most like to
emulate?
b) Provide a proposal for a short film you would like to produce (it need not be the
film you make in Prague). Describe the story line, the cast and other creative
elements in the production of the film.
3. Creative Portfolio:
Please submit one sample (short story, video reel, script, photography portfolio,
article, etc) of what you believe to be the best example of your creative work. Very
important: please clearly explain your involvement and role in the project.
4. Letters of Recommendation:
Provide two letters of recommendation from two people, unrelated to you, who know you
well. We are primarily interested in your creativity, intellectual and people skills.
