Discover Your God-Given Dream

The document discusses discovering one's dreams or passions. It notes that dreams played an important role in biblical figures' lives, especially Joseph's. It then asks readers to describe their dream car, home, or ministry without limitations. The questions are meant to help uncover buried dreams or callings. The document concludes by reminding readers that if God gives a dream, one shouldn't be devastated if others don't understand and that God can do more than one could ask or imagine.

One of the things we have lost in our society is the ability to dream.

Dreams played a huge role in the life

of biblical characters. Who in Scripture do you remember dreaming? One of my favorites was Joseph. God
gave Joseph a dream. It is noteworthy that those closest to him didn’t like or understand his dream. In
fact, Joseph’s dream of future leadership incensed his brothers.

How do you uncover your dream, burden, or passion?

Step 1: Money is no object. Maintenance, gas, insurance, etc. is not an issue. Describe your dream car?
(Give people an opportunity to dream then share with one another). Once again, money is no object.
Describe your dream home, style, location, etc. Maintenance, insurance, etc. is not an issue. (Give people
an opportunity to dream then share with one another).

What ministry would you start or begin for God if money, volunteers, time, etc were not obstacles. Here
are some starter questions:

I’ve always wanted to _________________________________.

I believe I was created to _______________________________.
My deepest passion is _________________________________.
I’ve never told anyone _________________________________.
I’ll regret this if I don’t try ______________________________.

When God gives you a dream, don’t be devastated if everyone around you doesn’t understand.

The Living Bible translates Eph. 3:20 like this, “God is able to do far more than we would ever dare to
ask or even dream of –infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.”

If God gives you a dream, remember, He is able to bring it about.
