Application Scenarios and Solutions
Street-based Coverage
Limited urban land resources pose difficulties in site acquisition. A large number of public facilities, such
as lamp poles, can be used to deploy pole sites, meeting coverage and capacity requirements on the
streets and surroundings,

This solution provides street-based coverage by installing Easy Macro, Blade BBU, and Blade power
devices on public facilities. There are two options of installing pole sites: outside and all inside.

orHigh-rise Buildings
High-rise buildings stand higher than surrounding
base stations. On wall sites can be deployed to
provide coverage for high-rise buildings.

outer walls of high-rise buildings to

ata low cost.
Rural Area Coverage
Rural mobile networks have low ROI due to the small number of users served by each site and require a
low-TCO solution to provide basic coverage. Butterfly sites cost-effectively provide coverage while meeting
the requirements for capacity and evolution.
Island Coverage Linear Coverage Continuous Coverage
Centralized and Roads or villages Suburban areas or several
standalone villages situated along roads —_villages with low population density
With butterfly sites, site devices are simplified and power consumption per site decreases. In this solution,

Rapid packet switched (PS) services and the exponential growth in smartphone use have been placing
unprecedented demands on UMTS network performance. The addition of UMTS 900 MHz (band Vill) and
