Set Up 5 Measures

1. The document provides instructions for writing a melody using Roman numeral analysis. 2. It has the student write Roman numerals under a given sequence, draw corresponding triads, and label the pitches. 3. The student is then instructed to start and end the melody on a C quarter note, add a chord tone at the beginning of each measure, and end each measure with a stemless neighboring tone.

8. Use the 5 measure rhythm you wrote previously to fill in the rest of each treble clef measure.
You will now place the note heads in different places on the staff to indicate different pitches. Label all pitches.
You may change the last rhythm symbol in each measure if needed. ***IF YOU USE SKIPS OR LEAPS THEY
MUST ONLY INVOLVE CHORD TONES ON BOTH SIDES AND BE FOLLOWED WITH A FEW STEPS.
Tick mark all steps. Don't immediately repeat pitches.
