Task objective: To ensure the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment
Hazards – Occupational Hazards in the industry while working.

Tools and PPE:

Gloves Hearing protection

Eye protection Appropriate clothing

Appropriate footwear Hat and Safety Harness


Training and instruction:
 Correct use of PPE
 Use of Safety Harness
 Proper way to use the given gears
 Manufacturers operating instructions
Steps
Prior to procedure:
 Make sure equipment is free of any signs of wear or damage.
 Wear the appropriate PPE.
 Make sure any Personal Protective Equipment is used correctly for the correct body size
 Ensuring they are in working order.

During procedure:
 Never modify the PPE or do anything beyond the manufacturers design.
 Change the PPE if not suitable.
 Make sure any PPE used is suitable for the user hence checking its suitability.

Post procedure:
 Keep your PPE back in a proper manner.
Precautions:
 Follow safe use instructions at all time
 If possibly get SIRIM / PROGUARD approved and do not use after market products of inferior
manufactured.
