Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to apply for the position of Operation Theater Nurse.
Since I was a child I wanted to become someone who is able to help people. Therefore, I decided to beco
me a nurse. At the beginning, I worked for 8 years in Japan. Afterwards, I went to Romania as a volunteer
nurse. As a result of my overseas experience, my orientation and medical philosophy have changed. I a
m aware of fact that there are many ill, wounded people and those in distressed and disaster-
hit areas. I want to help those people, not only in Japan, but worldwide. When I discovered MSF and got
acquainted with its ideas and work, I became strongly attracted to it. Before applying for MSF, I wanted to
acquire new skills and for that reason I applied for operation theater nurse position. I have been working
on this position for 2 years already. Even though, I was educated and gained my experience in advanced
conditions, I have enough experience to work in developing countries, remote rural areas and new places
for me in general.
As I wanted to join MSF, I gained experiences in several fields. Finally, I am determined to help and my w
ish to serve people in distress is unshaken.
My health is good and I am in good mental and physical condition. I can survive in any place together with
local people. I have a positive attitude and I keep smiling even the situation is severe.
Recently I have been assigned with two assignments by my supervisor. The first one is to plan what to do
as a hub hospital for disaster relief. I have to hold meetings in the operation theater and prepare a manu
al about actions in disasters. The second task is adjusting and managing sterilized operation instruments
according to the new system. I have to work hard in order to accomplish these tasks and my purpose as a
leader. However, I am praised by my supervisor for my success. Even though it’s hard work it is fulfilling
because I am interested in it and I am doing what I like to do.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to personally discuss why I a
m particularly suited for this position. Please contact me
Yours sincerely,
