Project Controller (Schedule And Cost Controlling)
Purpose of the Job
This role is to provide Project Controls which includes schedule and cost
controlling on projects. This role is for Project Controllers who are
responsible for both cost and schedule on projects. Alternatively, the mission
can be limited to schedule or cost controls, depending on the project’s
strategy and needs.
Mission
Responsible for Project Controls (Planning and Cost):
Builds tender integrated schedules and supports cost estimates
Build project schedule and project budgeting in schedule and cost tools
Ensures compliance to the Global Standard process for Project
Controls
Support PM to align project budgets to as sold in appropriate systems
Maintain project schedule and cost forecast throughout project with
periodic updates
Maintain a register of potential schedule and cost risks
Maintain actual and committed costs in the tools in liaison with finance
team who provide the input
Communicates schedule and cost status/forecasts/risk to functional
owners and drives/supports risk mitigation
Provides internal and external periodic project schedule reporting of
project status
Collaborate with 3rd parties on project schedules and costs
Presents all financial data in a transparent way and in coordination with
finance team, attends project and management review to present cost
status
Provides change order calculations to ensure schedule and cost
estimates are accurate
Updates changes in appropriate systems to ensure costs are aligned to
the current situation
Aligns with Finance Controller to ensure reconciliation takes place
between approved project financial data and books.
Support project close out and claims
Provide support to tenders

Purpose: Supervise, manage, lead and oversee project control activities as necessary for a
broad range of industrial engineering and construction projects. The Project Controls
Manager will work with the Project Management staff to ensure that the project's
objectives are met in terms of Budget and Cost Control and assist with tracking and
reporting the project's deliverables and targets.
Work Schedule: Must have open availability any time and day of the week. Normal work
period is Monday-Friday dayshift.
Essential Skills (must possess the ability to)
May include but not limited to:
Supervise and lead the development, implementation and maintenance of Project
Control organization, systems and procedures
Deliver project control support to the Project Management team which may include
cost reporting, material expediting, invoice tracking, account reconciliation, project
status reports, and various other project related activities
Experience related to downstream engineering, procurement, and constructions
execution for petrochemical or refinery industries
Develop, and implement a basic change management system for engineering and
construction
Develop, oversee and maintain Management, Project and Control level schedules
Identify major milestones, decision points, project life-cycle, and other project
events.
Provide guidance and direction to the project team that may be comprised of
internal and external project team members including but not limited to Project
Managers, Business Development, Engineers, Operations, Contracts, and client
personnel
Attention to detail, accuracy, completeness and meeting deadlines and
commitments is critical
Work with the Project Management staff to ensure that the timelines and/or
objectives of the project are met
Communicate the status of developmental activities to Management, Project
Managers and business sponsors using written and verbal communications
Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems ‐ Assist in defining and
implementing schedule software (Primavera P6) management processes and
procedures regarding scheduling conflicts/changes
Maintain accurate records/paperwork.
Facilitate and participate in internal weekly schedule reviews.
Effective written, listening, and verbal communication skills and strong presentation
skills
Ensure ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of project controls experience using Primavera.
experience in construction planning/scheduling.
Excellent communications and organizational skills.
Excellent analytical skills for reviewing costs and preparing budget reports.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and capable of establishing respect and credibility
through actions, communications, understanding, and personal presence;

Job Information & Purpose:
The project control Manager will be responsible for managing the Multiple wind farm
projects at Spain project. Based on general guidance, objectives and some specific work
assignments provided from the planning management, develop the capability and
supervises the performance for all program planning/analysis/reporting and project
progress evaluation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide project controls management, including baseline schedule development
and management, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk
management, project operational management guidance and tools.
Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes
variation reporting, monitoring of detail progress and estimate to complete in terms
of time and cost.
Understand engineering procedures/interfaces for all disciplines across the project
and reflect in project controls deliverables.
Design, Maintain and improve the Project Controls governance, systems, processes
and procedures across the entire project.
Support programme integration, governance, formats, plan optimization, and
project controls best practices.
Trains and supervises engineers qualified to analyze and schedule activities
pertinent to the design and construction of projects.
Maintains liaison with the project and the field for schedule revision and update.
Analyzes progress reports against the schedule and establish reporting frequency on
a project based on criticality of the deliverables.
Supports planning management in accomplishing project status review and
performance control.
Ensuring appropriate KPIs are in place and maintained to measure cost, time
performance across the Business highlighting variances and trends in various
performance indices of project.
Ideal candidates will have:
Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Controls for major multi project
programs including commercial, educational or institutional buildings projects
exceeding $100 million in constructed value. Experience with Wind farm project
(EPC) shall be given preference.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Project Control manager for either a Contractor
or a Construction Management firm.
Expert level competence with Primavera P6
Must have Expert (Read, write & speaking) competence in English & Spanish
language.
Must have Bachelor degree in Engineering.
