Cross Validation rules in EBS R12.

Cross validation rules are used to restrict the data entry in segment combination
of key flex fields. Cross validation rules can be used to control how the new
combinations of the key flex fields will be created. These rules help to prevent the
creation of combinations which should never be created.

One thing which should be remembered, that newly created Cross validation rules
have no effect on the combinations which are created earlier. Also to control the
new combinations to be created we can simple turn the Allow Dynamic Insert off
for the flex filed. But still in you can create the new combinations, for example
you can go to the Code Combination form of Chart of Account and create the new
combinations of accounts.
