Concrete Chip-Off without Exposed Reinforcement
1. Hack off and remove all loose parts from the affected area.
2. Drive concrete nails and tie wire at the affected area, if necessary.
3. Moisten the exposed concrete surface and apply bonding agent thoroughly
4. Patch up the area with non-shrink grout or epoxy resin mortar.
5. Protect the concrete from any disturbance until it hardened.
6. Finish the surface to requirement.
Concrete Chip-Off with Exposed Reinforcement
1. Hack off loose concrete and expose the reinforcement if necessary.
2. Clean the area of dust and loose concrete particles.
3. Put up formwork if necessary at the affected area to hold repair materials in shape.
4. Apply bonding agent on the concrete surface.
5. Mix the non-shrink grout according to manufacturer recommendation or batch same grade
of concrete.
6. Cast the affected area with concrete or non-shrink grout.
7. Cover the repaired area to protect the concrete or non-shrink grout from any disturbance.
8. Wait until the concrete hardened before removing the formwork.
9. Finish the surface to requirement
Method Statement for Concrete Repair
Hairline Cracks (crack width less than or equal to 0.3 mm)
1. Cut a V-groove of minimum depth of 10mm to 15mm along the crack line.
2. Clean the V-groove from dust and loose particles.
3. Prime the area with bonding agent thoroughly.
4. Mix the non-shrink grout according to manufacturer recommendation.
5. Seal the V-groove with non-shrink grout material
6. Finish surface to the requirement.

4. Patch up the area with non-shrink grout or cast back with fresh concrete.
5. Protect the concrete or non-shrink grout from any disturbance until it hardened.
6. Finished the surface to requirement.
