Chapter One

Introduction

1.1 Statement of the Problem

Statement of the problem

The goal of this thesis is to conduct extensive survey and to analyze how the

inflation rate affects how the business operates, furthermore, to have a

thorough discussion of the topic, the following sub-topics will be

addressed:

A. What happens when Inflation rate increases

1. Price Increases

2. Purchasing power decreases

3. Increased spending

4. Decreased saving

5. Decreasing bond values

6. Hoarding

7. Hyperinflation

1.2 Significance of the Study

Students. The results will provide the senior high-school students some

knowledge that would help them understand how inflation rates affect the

business that they would attend to when they find a job that involves inflation

rates.

Employees. The given data would guide the employees on what to do when the

inflation rises. The employees would be able to understand how the inflation rate

works.

Managers. Like the employees, the managers too will understand how the

inflation rate rises or decreases through the given data. The given data would help

them formulate new types of strategy to help them make business. The findings

would also help them take actions once the inflation rate increases or decreases.

1.3 Scope and Limitation

2 In general, the study will directly be addressed towards the affected business

operations due to the inflation rate and deflation rate. This study will help the

students, employees and Managers to formulate a way that would make the

business work smoothly. To complete the picture of the study, the research

will investigate the possible changes of the inflation rate that would affect the

operation of the business. As a summary for this, the scope of the study will

vary from the inflation rate as it increases or decreases.

The researches will investigate how the inflation rate affects the operation of

business during the school year of 2018 – 2019. It will consider only those

who have a job which are employees and managers and will not consider any

people without jobs.

2.1 Rationale

In this study, a group of students from the strand ABM will investigate on

how the inflation rate affects the operation of the business.

This study will be about how the inflation rate affects the operations of the

business which would help on how to maintain or manage a business

reputation once we have our own jobs. We have acquired some of our source

from the communication of our families and friends that is a manager or an

employee.

This study aims to increase the awareness of how the inflation rate affects the

business among the community of people that are managers or employees to

be informed in how to deal with the inflation rate. Thus we propose to create

this study to guide the manager, employees and students to guide them on

how the inflation rate would affect the operation of business.
