WHO ARE WE?
Education Studio's mission is to develop the capacity of innovation in young people
through non-formal
formal education and artistic methods. We believe in a community where young
people have a developed sense of innovation, which allows them to build their own authentic
a
path in life, doing more than what's expected of them, in a culture based on creativity and
collaboration. The values that motivate us are openness, authenticity and synergy.
The methods we are using are learning through experience and art. Our long term vision
is to create a nucleus of young people prepared to use their creative potential in initiatives
which will change their life and that of the community. Education Studio took four EVS- E
volunteers who developed this Youth Exchange in collaborating with the organisation and their
coordinator. The volunteers are forming an international team from Spain, Austria, France and
the Netherlands. Together we build this Youth Exchange, based on our interests and
experiences.

WHAT DO WE WANT TO DO?
When analysing todays’ society we saw that there is little knowledge amongst young
people regarding minorities and there background.

opportunities to share deeply with people from other cultures (for example minorities).

this the young people have a lack of interest to meet people from minorities due to the
stereotypes and prejudices. This means that young people are not encouraged to have an open
attitude towards minorities and we think that most of them are not aware about how their
environment shaped their attitude. Next to this, a lot of young people are not involved in their
community because they are not inspired to have an active role.
We thought about this and decided to organise a Youth Exchange that has ha the goal to:
Raise awareness about minority issues and encourage building a cohesive community. In this
Youth Exchange, called Integration is TeamWork
TeamW we want to reach that:
- The teenagers can understand the concept of minority issues. They are able to apply a this in
illustrating the specific minority situation of the participating countries.
- The participants show an open attitude towards minorities during the Youth Exchange.
- The young people find at least three ways to be more involved as active citizens in their
home country.
PARTNERS
We want to have a Youth Exchange with six different countries:: Romania, Italy, Latvia,
the Netherlands, Spain and Turkey. From each country we will receive four participants plus one
Youth Leader.
PARTNER ORGANISATIONS
In total there are five partner organisations:

House for United Europe from Latvia
• Citta di Torino from Italy
• Vatho College from the Netherlands

In this project we are working with different types of organisations: from a Local Public
Body to Non-Governmental
Governmental Organisations up to a High School. We succeeded in including
partners from variousparts of Europe so we can raise awareness and share about several
minority issues that affect different countries differently. Also we want to promote a cohesive
society with us.
PARTICIPANTS
We are searching for participants between 15-17.

different genders, backgrounds,

Activities
Final Event: This will be an event in the Central Park of Cluj-Napoca
Cluj Napoca about diversity. We
will let the participants decide on how to express their feelings about the last week, and how to
promote diversity. It can be in the form of sketches, drawings,
drawings, songs, activities etc.
WHEN?
Participants' Arrival day: 25th
th June 2017 before 18:00
Full working days: 26th June--1st July (6 days)
Departure day: 2nd July 2017
If you plan to arrive earlier or leave later, the expenses out of the days of the training will
not be reimbursed by the organizers. (Flights that are earlier or later with more than 2 days
from the start/end of the training will NOT be reimbursed).
Please inform the organizers before you buy the tickets to check if the routes and the
prices are ok with our budget.
WHAT TO BRING?
• Comfortable clothes
lothes and shoes that are also suitable for sports and walking. Please bring
enough clothes, washing facilities are not provided.
• Your original tickets for the entire trip, the invoice of the travel agency (the price clearly
indicated on the ticket), the boardingpasses.
• Your travel insurance contract and a eligible copy of it
• Your ID/passport and two clearly eligible copies

WHERE DO YOU STAY?
In Cluj-Napoca
Napoca you will stay at THE
SPOT cosy hostel (which will only host
our youth exchange).
This hostel is a cosy and welcoming
place containing everything we need:
dormitories, bathrooms, a kitchen and
a nice living room.It

with hammocks and even a veggie
garden!
This hostel is really close to the centre:
a 5 minute-walk

Central Park and in 15 minutes you
can reach Cluj city centre.
