SelfishNet was updated so that it no longer connects to network cards in promiscuous mode, as some Intel network cards were experiencing issues with promiscuous mode. Promiscuous mode allows a network interface to receive all traffic on the wire rather than just traffic addressed to it. The update addresses compatibility problems some Intel cards were having with promiscuous mode.
