Clean Energy Generation, Integration and Storage (Eee-801) : Dr. Abasin Ulasyar Assistant Professor (NUST USPCAS-E)

This document appears to be lecture slides for an engineering course on clean energy generation, integration, and storage. It was prepared by Dr. Abasin Ulasyar and contains 5 practice problems related to designing photovoltaic systems of various sizes and specifications to produce electricity at different voltages and frequencies, determining necessary components and diagrams for each system. The document provides sample data and directs students to find additional specifications in the paper/lecture.

Prepared By:
Dr. Abasin Ulasyar
Assistant Professor (NUST USPCAS-E)

Department of Electrical Power Engineering Lecture-5

U.S.- Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy 12th February 2019
Problem: No.3
 Design a PV system to process 1000 kW of power at 460
V, 60 Hz three-phase AC using the PV data given.
Determine the following:
i) Number of modules in a string, number of strings in an
array, number of arrays, surface area for PV, weight of
PV, and cost
ii) DC/AC Inverter and boost converter specifications and
the one - line
